Tuesday Treadlers – Rides March 12, 2019

Coffee Break at Gumeracha this week in the Big Rocking Horse Cafe, somewhere around 11.00 am.

Balhannah Oval for the 9.30 am start, with the two suggested optional routes shown on the sketch map:   SKETCH MAP MARCH 12, 2019

The suggested RED return route is also popular with riders from the outward GREEN route  –  why not give it a go.

Tuesday Treadlers Rides – March 5th, 2019

Our March AWAY ride this week with the promise of Autumn type weather.

Meet in GUMERACHA in the public parking area behind the council building, next to the oval.  Please leave the parking bays at the front free for library visitors.

Starting at 9.30 am with the usual two suggested route options, both heading to Williamstown for coffee break around 11.00 am. in the Corner Bakery.

See you on Tuesday

Which type of cyclist would you rather ride with?  One that has previously fallen off or one that hasn’t yet fallen off.  Worth thinking about.

Tuesday Treadlers – February 26th, 2019

When the weather is particularly hot in the suburbs it is usually a little cooler up in the Hills. This week’s ride suggestions might work.  See the Hot Weather policy in our group’s flyer:  T.T. FLYER

With the promise of a hot afternoon for the last Tuesday of Summer there are two suggested options.  If you are really keen to cover the full distances it is suggested you meet in Balhannah Oval at 8.30 am. for an early start.

There will still be the normal start in Balhannah Oval at 9.30 am. with the option of terminating the ride after a leisurely 11.00 am. coffee break in the Lobethal Bakery in Balhannah.

Lob.Bakery, Balhannah

Lobethal Bakery at the Mitre 10 complex in Balhannah will be open from 7.30 am., so call in for coffee at any time.

As usual the sketch map of the suggested routes is below:

Our February AWAY  rides are the Mylor to Meadows circuits once again. Meet in Mylor Oval for the 9.30 am start and coffee break in the Mawson House Cafe around 11.00 am.

Sketch map of the two suggested routes for both the 50 kms and 70 kms routes should be easy to follow, although the RED route may seem a little complex initially, but is a direct route from Mylor to Clarendon.

ttridesfeb.16A few reasonable climbs on the longer route, but ignore this picture.
